LENOVO S10-3S

I had the opportunity to put my hands on the Lenovo S10-3S. It’s a 10” slim Netbook, with a full size keyboard, 1280 x 600 LED LCD display and Dolby certified sound. White colored and it has almost everything that what current Netbook offers, Wi-Fi, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, webcam. I had a dislike for Netbook, due to the fact that they’re slow, easily crash and sub-standard built quality. This is not happening with the Lenovo S10-3S. The laptop is equipped with Intel Atom N450 Processor clocking around 1.66GHz and a measly 1 GB DDR2. The S10-3S is also pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter Edition. The built in 250GB SATA hard disk, is fairly spacious enough to keep my most useful applications while on the move.
Some notable features of this Lenovo S10-3S firstly, the covered USB ports, LAN port and audio out. This is pretty neat, since it does help the netbook to stay aerodynamic, in situation where you need to launch them to something or someone. It may get little troublesome where you want some quick access to the pendrive or external USB stuff. Secondly is the keyboard. It is smooth and superb, plus more resistance to dust and dirt being trapped in between keys. The LED backlit screen is another plus. The glossy screen is prone to finger prints and makes viewing outdoors harder. The sound quality is great for a netbook or notebook. The battery life is also impressive. A full charge may take up to 4 hours to waste. This is one tough netbook. In my opinion, this setback was puny comparing the goodness out of this Lenovo S10-3S. There’s no lag or paused at all, even after I switched the Windows 7 Starter, to Windows 7 Home Premium

There’s no heavy applications installed into it, since I want to keep it optimally quicker. Oh yes, it can handle Angry Bird, and I am thinking of getting this netbook to run Diablo 2 LOD bot. Such a good net book until I put my fingers on the touch pad. The touch pad is awfully hard, insensitive and in most time I need to click on it twice, for normal clicking. The keyboard is stupendous, but the touch pad is hideous. Getting a white Logitech mouse, may compensate for this little disappointment. The Lenovo S10-3S also fits snuggly into my old pouch bag, whereas the Acer One, the HP 10” netbook and also the Acer Iconia Tab W500 cannot fit. The glossy cover looks sleek which in turn will attract finger prints and smudges. That is okay, since nothing will ever last forever anyway.
Basically, this Lenovo S10-3S is a great bargain. Faster and more durable than the newer Acer Iconia Tab W500, which boast itself with 32GB flash drive rather than ordinary 2.5” SATA hard disk. Despite the awfully stiff and senseless touch pad, I find no problem forking my money for it. The S10-3S is truly a charm by Lenovo.
